Who we are
We act as a point of contact for drama clubs and individuals for both the Edinburgh & Borders Districts, offering them advice, encouragement and practical support. Covering Edinburgh city, East, Mid and West Lothian and all Scottish Borders clubs. As a small organization we are not required by law to have an appointed data protection officer please address all questions or concerns to admin@scdaedinburgh.org.uk
The SCDA re branded in 2022 to a public facing SCD (Scottish Community Drama) but retains the SCDA an operating name.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

These are provided when you join or renew your membership,

As members (club or individual) the SCD nationally has a duty to collect and hold data in order to meet its legal and constitutional responsibilities the data is held securely and is passed to relevant Divisions and Districts to facilitate your membership.

Your data (contact details) are only be available to relevant committee members, or those members who have a need to know this for the duty they undertake on behalf of the committee.

Ticket sales
We offer the sale of tickets for our 1-Act festival through An online ticketing service. Please see the terms and conditions for use on the relevant sites. We are required as part of this process to record the Name and address and payment method of the person ordering the tickets, These may be passed on to the venue ticket office for validation purposes.
This data is only accessible by a restricted number of committee members. who are tasked with dealing with online ticket sales,
Your provided contact details may be used to contact you if there are any changes we have to make to your booking or used to contact you for any reason connected with the performances and will be held for not longer than 1 month after the event
No data gathered from ticket sales is used for marketing by the SCD Edinburgh district and is not made available to third parties
